GRANDPARENTS VISITATION RIGHTS IN CHILD CUSTODY MATTER

The right of visitation for grandparents can be considered by the court under certain circumstances if it is in the best interests of the child.

If grandparents are being denied visitation with their grandchildren, they may choose to approach the family court to seek visitation rights. The court will generally consider factors such as the relationship between the grandparents and the child, the child's welfare, and whether visitation by the grandparents would be in the child's best interests.
